Meet the members of DI!

Emanuel is a sophomore at the Macaulay Honors College of the City University of New York studying a combination of Public Policy, Philosophy, and Political Science. He started debate to better express his views and for the activity’s pedagogical value, finding good friends and new fields of interest along the way.

Kavya Gopinath – kavya_gopinath@brown.edu

Kavya is a sophomore at Brown University who is currently undecided. She started debate because she wanted to try something new and stayed for the friends she made along the way.

Malcolm is a junior at the University of Maryland studying political science and english. He debates because of the friendly, competitive environment it provides and the friends he has met along the way

Paola Apolinario – paola.apolinario@rutgers.edu

Paola is a second year at Rutgers University studying Political Science, Philosophy, Economics, and Linguistics. She joined debate, never having done it before, because it seemed super interesting and stayed for all the lovely people she’s met and all the interesting cases she’s heard.
